Today we look back and ahead; apt for this time of year, eh?
Each week on the blog I look forward and bacK with my friend KIMBA, THE CAFFEINATED BOOK REVIEWER!
Thanks to Kimba for hosting this each week!
I’ve been looking at images, as I write this, to suit this interstice between Christmas and New Years. Is there a busier time??
Here’s a taste of the past, my past anyway. In my lifetime there was a period where the Lawrence Welk show wasn;t just soething to make fun of. It was just music. Here’s an appropriate song for the end of this year:
Of course, I don;t own this but it was open for sharing on YOUTUBE: http://youtu.be/Gv4sBV8YAlg
While I have some truly weird stuff coming up on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day I just have to share these hilarious cards:
Okay, so the “A Resolve For Every Morning of the New Year” card is a nice sentiment, and although comes out of a religious tradition I can see how these would be good things to try for. Come by on the 31st and 1st for more funnies. I won’t be up early on the first as we have a party here the night before and tend to sleep in.
I was away in Florida for Christmas, and had pre-written all my posts for the first time in months!

Last week there were tons of images. I did not create any new icons, but here are four new banners.
I was away with my family and boy, was it hectic. My sister, brother-in-law, husband and I made dinner for a passel of my mom’s friends. And, it was kind of crazy. We all ate and drank wayyyyyy too much.
Since I probably won’t be speaking with you personally before midnight Wednesday, please let me take this moment to thank you for reading this site — it means a lot. And, I wish you and your family and loved ones everything good in the New Year!
