So far this year:
I count books in challenges before I review them.
So far this year I have read 10 of the 21 plus books I intend to finish for this challenge. This past month I read and reviewed: HOPE BURNS, HERO, TELL ME/TEASE ME, LOVE BY THE BOOK, CAPTIVATED BY YOU, SLOW BURN and THE UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES OF LOVE, QUARTERBACK DRAW and LIZZY AND JANE. You can find my list with authors and review links HERE.
The Cliche Klatch has proved more challenging. I had listed about 100 cliches from a longer list It was solely a convenience and to date most of what I have found was in the main list at the Cliche website. It is also really hard to note cliches from audio books. And, I find the site doesn’t include a lot of saying and descriptors I think of as such. Even then, I am up to 21 of the 36 to 50 I am aiming for. Check them out at my tracking page. I could not find one cliche in Sue Monk Kidd’s THE INVENTION OF WINGS nor in Lizzy and Jane! Audiobooks do offer a challenge in finding cliche’s!
For Lit Pickers I have found 25 of 50 objects I am aiming for: Condom, Corset, Frying Pan, Bicycle, Drums, Sports Car, Mittens or Gloves, Carriage, Cop, Tea Tray, Tent, Handgun, Balcony, Doctor and Nurse, Guitar, Fireplace, Best Friend, Picture, Coffee Maker, Mall, Couch, Eyeglasses/Spectacles, Beach Towel, Jeans, Bonnet.
