I am still traveling so I want to be sure you aren’t bored while I am gone.
Above is a watercolor on top and an oil painting on the bottom of the same scene. Often at a museum you’ll see a “study.” it’s a “practice painting; a way of becoming familiar with a subject and a composition.
These are all watercolors: my first two piecees at the Monhegan workshop I mentioned last week – top right and second from the top left, to more recent pieces. The one in the lower left of the fruit is an example of a “no white paint” piece.
Here’s something funny though – a lemon is a bee-yotch to paint.
I plan to resume regular posts with a regular schedule (T, W, TH) next Tuesday – I hope to see you then!
