And, More Paintings

I am still traveling so I want to be sure you aren’t bored while I am gone.

Above is a watercolor on top and an oil painting on the bottom of the same scene.  Often at a museum you’ll see a “study.”  it’s a “practice painting; a way of becoming familiar with a subject and a composition.

These are all watercolors: my first two  piecees at the Monhegan workshop I mentioned last week – top right and second from the top left, to more recent pieces.  The one in the lower left of the fruit is an example of a “no white paint” piece.

Here’s something funny though – a lemon is a bee-yotch to paint.
I plan to resume regular posts with a regular schedule (T, W, TH) next Tuesday  – I hope to see you then!
